VACANCY

Position: Coordinator of Online Education – Permanent
Location: Kemptville Board Office
Salary: As per Collective Agreement
FTE: 1.00
Effective: September 1, 2026
Summary
Under the supervision of the Superintendent of Education with responsibility for St. James Catholic Education Centre, the Coordinator will help to set direction and facilitate the implementation of system-wide online initiatives by:
- Acting as liaison with board and school administration, online contacts (DeLCs and TELT-Cs), OeLC (Ontario eLearning Consortium), and TELO (Technology Enabled Learning Ontario)
- Updating and creating content for the CDSBEO Learning Launch Site
- Proficient user of Prism, Brightspace (including developing pages) and myBlueprint
- Support PLAR (Prior Learning Assessments and Recognition)
- Distributing relevant online information to schools, including best practices (ex: attending guidance counselor meetings)
- Providing feedback to the Ministry as required
- Supporting schools in the delivery of online programming
- Scheduling online course offerings through CDSBEO, through the school year and summer
- Coordinating registration and timetabling for students in online courses and managing out-of-board student enrollment
- Supporting continuing education online teachers i.e. following up with at risk students, editing course content, etc...
- Attending consortia meetings and providing feedback (Consortia: Catholic Virtual Ontario, Ontario eLearning Consortium, Catholic Remote Consortium)
- Supporting pathway planning for continuing education learners
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Assets:
- Valid Ontario College of Teachers Certificate – Intermediate/Senior
- Guidance Part 1 would be an asset
- Religious Education, Part 1 would be an asset
- Demonstrated leadership and expertise in the planning and delivery of teacher career development
- Knowledge of AI, online best practices and pedagogy
- Experience teaching online courses would be an asset
