Brock Solutions
Kitchener
As Brock Solutions continues to grow and respond to the on-going requirements of major clients, we need to add talent to our base of outstanding professionals. We are currently seeking an Office & Events Coordinator to join our team of experienced professionals located at our head office in Kitchener, ON.
Brock Solutions is an cutting-edge engineering solutions and professional services company specializing in the design, build and implementation of real-time operational solutions for broad based industrial/manufacturing and transportation/logistics organizations worldwide. Some interesting areas we are exploring include industrial automation,
machine learning, IIOT, cyber security, AI, robotics, and other technologies. With approximately 1100 employees globally, Brock Solutions is a privately held, employee owned organization with over 30 years in the real-time operational solutions space.
Employee-owned company with profit sharing, comprehensive benefits, company events and charitable initiatives, a diverse workplace, BBQs and Lunch and Learns, Sports teams,
Group fitness initiatives, and a "We win as a Team" culture are just some of the reasons our employees love working at Brock!
We're looking for an Office & Events Coordinator to be the heartbeat of our Kitchener head office. Based at the front desk, you're the first face people see — and the person who makes things happen behind the scenes. Culture is a core part of this role: the person at the front desk is the first point of contact and is well positioned to build relationships across our team, employee base and the community.
Think event planner energy meets office command centre. You'll help plan and run everything from BBQs and Lunch & Learns to golf tournaments, charity events, client visits and company celebrations — then keep the day-to-day of the office running smoothly in between. You won't do it alone: you'll work day-to-day with our People team and alongside colleagues across the business, leading some pieces yourself and jumping in behind someone else on others.
Total compensation range: $45k-$60k
Why Work at Brock?
- Competitive Compensation Package
- Profit Sharing
- Extended Health Benefits
- Continuous Career Growth
- Adaptable Working Hours
- Company Events and Celebrations
- Travel Opportunities
What you'll do:
- Run the front desk, 5 days a week — the welcoming presence for employees,
clients and visitors; answering requests, handling deliveries and mail, and keeping office and kitchen supplies stocked
- Keep the space running — booking and turning over meeting rooms (setup, AV,
resets) and coordinating catering, from a client lunch to multiple-meal weeks
- Support the planning and own the execution of events — corporate, client and
community — including budgets, vendors, logistics and day-of delivery
- Partner with the People team on engagement and culture — bringing ideas
forward, leading some initiatives, supporting others through to delivery, and backing new hire and leadership events
- Build relationships across our offices and the community — championing the
programs that make Brock a excellent place to work, driving our community engagement and CSR partnerships, and rallying volunteers and committee members who are glad to pitch in
- Use AI and digital tools to work smarter — streamlining admin, automating
routine tasks, and spotting ways to improve how the office runs
Who you are:
- A connector. Outgoing and genuinely energized by people — you learn names fast,
start conversations easily, and people are glad you're there
- A collaborator. You work shoulder-to-shoulder with the People team and across the
business — comfortable leading a piece of work one day and backing someone else up the next
- A driver. You take initiative, chase the details down, and get things across the finish
line — and know when to loop others in rather than carry it alone
- Organized. Multiple events, vendors and deadlines at once doesn't rattle you; you
plan ahead and nothing slips
- Creative. Attention to detail without compromising creativity — you bring fresh
ideas, not just repeat last year's plan
- Flexible. Comfortable with occasional evenings, weekends and travel for events,
and with shifting gears as priorities change
Qualifications Required
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or a related field
- Experience in event planning, coordination, hospitality or office administration is a strong asset
- Excellent organizational, time management, communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong writing and editing skills; social media experience an asset
