Become a vital part of Community Ventures Society by serving as a Community Support Worker. This role focuses on supporting adults with developmental disabilities in meaningful community engagement.
The Community Support Worker will provide individualized support to adults through the Community Inclusion program at Community Ventures Society. Your responsibilities will include helping clients with employment opportunities, teaching life skills, and enhancing their independence. You will also advocate for social inclusion while facilitating leisure activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist individuals in finding meaningful and retained employment
• Teach vital life skills to achieve personal goals
• Support recreational activities such as hiking and swimming




• Foster community inclusion and relationship-building
• Enable effective communication strategies
Requirements:
• Experience working with developmental disabilities
• Valid Class 5 driver's license and personal vehicle
• Current First Aid certification or willingness to acquire it
• Clean driving record and criminal background
• Robust communication skills with individuals served
