About the role:

The Hospital strives to deliver care that is centred on patients and families. Patient and Family Centred Care (PFCC)

The Operations Coordinator, under the direction of the Manager, Adult Mental Health, provides day‑to‑day operational and clinical leadership to support safe,



high‑quality, patient and family‑centred care. The role coordinates clinical operations, patient flow, quality improvement, staff support, and interprofessional collaboration to ensure the effective functioning of the Adult Mental Health Unit.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience:

- Unencumbered registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing
- Certification in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing Canada (CPMHN[C]).

Skills/Abilities:

- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to analyze complex situations, exercise sound clinical and operational

judgment, and make effective decisions in a energetic environment.
- Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, and resilience with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced

environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient and family‑centred care.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative practice model as a member of an

inter‑professional team.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the relevant acts, regulations, legislation and standards related to

Occupational Health and Safety in the hospital setting.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, electronic health records, learning management

systems, and other clinical administrative information systems.
- Demonstrated superior interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to manage workload and adapt quickly to a fast‑paced,

dynamic work environment.
- Demonstrated ability to assist clients with concern and empathy, respect their confidentiality and privacy,

communicate in a courteous and respectful manner, and consider intended audience.




- Demonstrated commitment to the safety of co‑workers and patients.

Assets:

- Minimum 5 years clinical practice with demonstrated progressive clinical leadership, clinical experience in Mental

Health is recommended.
- Current NVCI certification
- Experience leading quality improvement initiatives, accreditation activities, or practice change.
- Experience coaching and mentoring staff to support professional development and clinical excellence.

Salary Range: $54.490 to 68.110 The Health Sciences Centre strives to ensure the safety and security of the patients, visitors, employees and assets financial and otherwise. All offers of employment to external candidates shall be conditional upon: a satisfactory

Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions; and proof of full vaccinations approved by Health Canada to Occupational Health & Safety. Candidates will have demonstrated adherence to the Hospital's Code of Conduct.
