Responsibilities

- Greet customers warmly and identify their optical needs through engaging conversations
- Provide expert guidance on eyewear options, including frames, lenses, and accessories, tailored to individual preferences and prescriptions
- Assist with fitting, adjusting, and demonstrating the proper use of optical products to ensure comfort and satisfaction
- Maintain a thorough understanding of optical terminology, including prescriptions, lens types, coatings, and medical terminology related to eye health
- Manage inventory levels of optical products and ensure displays are attractive and well-organized
- Utilize retail sales techniques to maximize product recommendations while delivering exceptional customer service




- Support the team by maintaining accurate records of sales transactions and customer preferences using retail management systems such as Epic or similar platforms

Requirements

- Previous experience in optical sales or retail management is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to eye health and laboratory experience is a plus
- Familiarity with optical products, including lenses, frames, and coatings
- Strong sales skills with a proactive approach to engaging customers and closing sales
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly
- Experience with Epic or similar retail management software is advantageous
