Responsibilities

- Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess visual acuity, refractive errors, and overall eye health using advanced diagnostic tools
- Prescribe corrective lenses, contact lenses, and other vision aids tailored to individual needs
- Provide expert advice on eye health maintenance, preventive care, and treatment options for various ocular conditions
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care plans, especially for senior and pediatric patients
- Educate patients on proper eye care practices and the importance of regular check-ups
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical record systems such as Epic




- Stay current with advancements in optometry practices, medical terminology, and industry standards to ensure high-quality service delivery

Requirements

- Valid licensure or certification as an Optometrist in the relevant jurisdiction
- Proven experience in optical settings with a solid focus on patient care and diagnostics
- Knowledge of pediatric eye care and senior care protocols is highly desirable
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems like Epic is preferred
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to eye health and vision correction
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations and team members
- Experience in sales of optical products and lenses is a plus but not mandatory
