Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and highly skilled Osteopathic Manual Practitioner (DOMP) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will deliver expert osteopathic manual therapy to promote healing, improve mobility, and enhance overall patient well-being. Your expertise will help patients recover from injuries, manage chronic conditions, and optimize their health through hands-on techniques rooted in osteopathic principles.

Duties

- Perform comprehensive assessments to understand patients’ health histories, symptoms, and treatment goals.
- Apply osteopathic manual therapy techniques such as soft tissue manipulation, joint mobilization, and myofascial release to address musculoskeletal issues.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient needs.
- Educate patients on self-care strategies, posture correction, and injury prevention to support long-term health.
- Maintain accurate case management records, including treatment notes and progress reports using electronic health record systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare providers to ensure holistic patient care.
- Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment approaches accordingly for optimal outcomes.

Requirements

- Valid registration as an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner (DOMP) with the appropriate licensing body. OAO member




- Proven experience in patient care within a hospital or clinical setting, preferably with acute care experience.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and mechanical principles relevant to osteopathy.
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in French or other languages is a plus for serving diverse patient populations.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently and effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel for documentation and scheduling purposes.
- Experience with case management software and word processing tools is preferred.
- Ability to work well in a team environment with strong interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of pediatric care and nursing principles is advantageous for treating a broad patient demographic.
- Strong time management skills combined with analysis skills to evaluate treatment effectiveness and adapt as needed.
- Mechanical knowledge related to healthcare equipment can be beneficial for understanding therapeutic tools used during treatments.
