About Boboto Care

Boboto Care is a warm, growing perinatal care collective providing personalized overnight newborn and postpartum support to families across Toronto and the GTA.

We are currently seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) only who are looking for a flexible way to earn additional income while using their clinical experience in a calmer, one-on-one home setting.

We are especially interested in RNs with experience in:

- Labour & Delivery
- Mother-Baby / Postpartum Units
- NICU
- Pediatrics
- Women’s Health
- Newborn or Infant Care

If you love supporting new parents and babies but want adaptable work outside of the hospital, this can be a meaningful addition to your existing schedule.

About the Role

As an Overnight Newborn & Postpartum Care Nurse, you will provide attentive, reassuring in-home support while parents rest and recover.

Typical shifts are 8–10 hours, most commonly 10 PM–6 AM or 8 PM–6 AM, with opportunities for recurring shifts with the same family.

Responsibilities may include

- Overnight newborn and infant care
- Supporting postpartum recovery and providing education
- Bottle feeding and bringing baby to parents for breastfeeding
- Burping, changing, soothing and settling newborns
- Supporting safe sleep practices
- Tracking feeds, diapers and sleep
- Bottle and pump-part preparation and washing
- Baby laundry, light tidying and simple meal preparation as time allows
- Providing evidence-informed newborn education and reassurance
- Observing and communicating important changes or concerns to parents
- Completing clear shift notes and handover communication

This is primarily a newborn and postpartum support position, not a general housekeeping role.

- Experienced with newborn feeding, soothing and safe sleep
- Comfortable supporting breastfeeding and combination-feeding families
- Emotionally intelligent and respectful of different cultures, family structures and parenting approaches
- Strong communicators with excellent interpersonal and customer-service skills
- Comfortable working independently overnight in clients’ homes

Requirements

Applicants must

- Be a Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Have meaningful hands-on newborn, infant or postpartum care experience
- Hold current Infant CPR and First Aid certification
- Provide a Vulnerable Sector Check
- Provide strong professional references
- Be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Have reliable transportation and be comfortable travelling up to approximately 40 km to client homes
- Maintain appropriate professional liability coverage

Labour & Delivery, Mother-Baby/Postpartum, NICU and pediatric nursing experience will be strongly prioritized. Food Handler certification is considered an asset.

All nurses complete an interview, credential review and screening process before being introduced to a Boboto Care family.
