The position offers a hybrid work model, opportunities for qualified growth, and a healthy work‑life balance.Are you excited about the prospects and opportunities of joining a solid company operating in a startup mode in Canada, helping us grow and deliver our ambitious goals in the Canada energy sector?If so, then Tractebel Inc. has a series of opportunities arriving in 2026 and we would like to hear from you!Key ResponsibilitiesYou will oversee the design and calculations of nuclear related structures and building subjected to internal and external hazardsYou anticipate problems and project needs regarding civil engineeringYou’ll provide technical oversight of reinforcement detailers and review detailing models and drawingsYou’ll provide expert oversight and technical direction to teams completing the design of reinforced concrete structuresYou perform structural analyses using FEM codeYou participate actively in the dynamic analysis of nuclear structures and components to various hazards: earthquake, gas explosion, tornado, plane crash accident,



high wave impactYou will participate in the writing of technical specifications (design requirements) and the review of technical documents issued by the ContractorYou lead, mentor, coach and train less experienced staffYou check calculation notes of less experienced engineers according to the QA policy of the companyYou conduct technical meetings in front of peers, partners, clients or suppliersYou maintain effective working relationships with the European and Canada teams to ensure smooth, efficient running of activities within Tractebel Inc.You will work in accordance with applicable codes, standards, regulations, and client’s requirementsYou will develop a full understanding of, and align with, Tractebel governance and standard working practices, strategies & objectivesYou’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver competitive and compliant proposalsYou will align with TRACTEBEL’s governance, strategies, and standard practicesWhat You’ll BringYou possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil EngineeringYou have a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience as a civil engineer in an engineering consultancy (EPC) environmentYou are licensed (and in good standing) to practice as a Professional Engineer in the Province of OntarioYou have experience working in a highly regulated industry based in CanadaYou are Fluent in English. Knowledge of other languages (especially French) is welcomeYou have engineering knowledge in civil engineering associated with industrial or power civil projects, including geotechnical analysis, design, finite element method, and reinforced concrete calculation and designYou are self‑driven and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a multi‑disciplinary environment within a multicultural teamYou have demonstrated ability in planning and conducting civil studies, performing engineering designs and evaluations,



and other civil works associated with power generating or industrial facilitiesYou have demonstrated knowledge of the applicable legislation, standards industry practices, software, and modelling tools related to the fields of engineering, construction and nuclear or hydro facility designYou have knowledge of nuclear or hydro domain and safetyYou have the ability to independently problem solve with methods and tools required for Civil Engineering applicationsYou have excellent document preparation skills with the ability to review and produce quality deliverablesYou have the ability to support the development of engineering teamsYou have excellent communication (written and verbal) skillsAdditional DetailsThis role is eligible for our hybrid work policyMust be available to travel occasionally to other Tractebel locations, client sites, and key industry eventsYou must be flexible in your daily scheduleMust possess a valid driver’s license/clean driving recordMust be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policiesThis position consists of 20% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditionsAbility to meet highest attendance requirementsAbility to communicate effectively, both written and verballyAbility to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracyAbility to use personal computer, calculator, etc.Could involve some liftingCompensationSalary Range: $145,200.00 – $ 222,525.00 CAD annuallyThis represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.
