Responsibilities

- Operate commercial trucks and heavy equipment safely across local, national, and cross-border routes, adhering to all transportation regulations.
- Manage freight loading and unloading processes efficiently, utilizing skills such as forklift operation when necessary.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic automotive repairs or coordinate maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Navigate complex routes confidently using GPS and other navigation tools to meet delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate documentation for shipments, including delivery logs, freight manifests,



and customs paperwork for cross-border shipments.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams, clients, and border authorities to coordinate pickups and deliveries seamlessly.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including proper securing of freight and operation of heavy equipment.

Experience

- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver’s license suitable for heavy trucks.
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and logistics operations.
- Experience operating forklifts or other heavy equipment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics or willingness to learn vehicle maintenance routines.
- Prior experience with cross-border shipping between Canada and the US is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and freight transportation.
