Part-Time Bookkeeper – Construction

About GeoLiving

GeoLiving Construction is a Vancouver-based residential construction company specializing in custom homes and renovations.

We are looking for a reliable and organized part-time bookkeeper to assist with our day-to-day accounting and financial administration. This is an ideal position for an experienced bookkeeper looking for consistent part-time work with a growing local company.

The position will start at approximately 8–12 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours and responsibilities as the role develops. Option to come into the office to work or work remote. This can be discussed.

Responsibilities

- Accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Enter and categorize vendor and subcontractor invoices
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
- Allocate expenses to the appropriate projects and cost codes
- Maintain accurate job-costing records
- Assist with GST/PST tracking and reporting
- Assist with payroll administration as required
- Track outstanding invoices and payments
- Maintain organized digital accounting records
- Assist with monthly reconciliation and preparation of information for our accountant
- Review project costs for coding or entry discrepancies
- Work with our project management and accounting systems to maintain accurate financial information





What We're Looking For

- Previous bookkeeping experience
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Experience with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Comfortable working independently
- Positive communication and follow-through
- Comfortable learning new software and processes
- Ability to work with multiple projects and cost codes

Construction bookkeeping or job-costing experience is preferred but not required. Experience working with contractors, trades, property management, development, or other project-based businesses would be considered an asset.

Position Details

Hours: Approximately 8–12 hours per week to start

Schedule: Flexible

Location: Vancouver, BC — hybrid/remote work can be discussed

Compensation: $30–$35/hour, depending on experience

We're looking for someone interested in developing a long-term working relationship with our company rather than a short-term bookkeeping assignment.
