Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and qualified Host/Hostess to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for visitors, ensuring they receive exceptional guest services and a positive experience from the moment they arrive. This role is essential in maintaining smooth restaurant operations and fostering a hospitable environment.

Previous hospitality or restaurant experience is preferred, but a strong customer service mindset and excellent communication skills are essential.

Duties

- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage wait times efficiently
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize flow
- Answer phone calls with professional phone etiquette, assist with inquiries, and take reservations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess station
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service




- Handle guest concerns or special requests courteously and promptly
- Assist with other front-of-house duties to support overall restaurant operations

Skills

- Robust guest services and customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Previous experience in serving, hospitality, or food service preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of restaurant operations
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Professional phone etiquette for reservation calls and guest inquiries
- Experience in hotel or restaurant environments is advantageous but not required
- Ability to work well as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude at all times
