Overview:

Cora’s Breakfast & Lunch on Waverley Street is seeking a skilled and dedicated part-time Line Cook to join our team for weekends and some weekdays.

As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation and ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen. If you have a passion for cooking and enjoy working in a fast-paced restaurant environment, we would love to hear from you.

Duties:

- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and standards
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient food service
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
- Maintain a clean and organized work station and perform various cleaning and opening/closing duties
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Help with the training and mentoring of new kitchen staff

Qualifications:

- Previous work experience as a Line Cook or enrolled in a culinary school such M.I.T.T. (1 year minimum)
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology




- Strong understanding of kitchen sanitation practices and food safety regulations
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team
