We are seeking a motivated and client-focused Personal Injury Lawyer to join a dynamic legal team. This opportunity is well suited to a lawyer who is passionate about advocacy, enjoys working closely with clients, and is looking to take meaningful ownership of their files from initial assessment through resolution.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of personal injury matters while collaborating with experienced legal professionals. This is a hands-on role that involves legal strategy, client communication, research, negotiation, and advocacy at various stages of the litigation process.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide thoughtful, strategic, and practical legal advice to a diverse client base.
- Manage personal injury files from initial assessment through settlement, trial, or other resolution.
- Develop and implement case strategies based on the specific circumstances and objectives of each client.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and participate in regular file reviews to assess progress, identify risks, and determine appropriate next steps.
- Prepare and review a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, facta, opinion letters, settlement conference memoranda, motions, applications, and other litigation materials.
- Conduct detailed legal research and analyze relevant legislation, case law, regulations, and procedural requirements.
- Investigate all aspects of personal injury matters, including liability, damages, financial losses, medical evidence, and other relevant issues.
- Attend examinations for discovery, case conferences, mediations, settlement discussions,



insurance-related conferences, motions, pre-trial conferences, trials, appeals, and other hearings before applicable tribunals, including the Licence Appeal Tribunal (LAT).
- Represent and advocate for clients throughout the litigation and dispute-resolution process.
- Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel, insurers, and other parties where appropriate.
- Communicate effectively with clients, experts, opposing counsel, insurers, and other stakeholders.
- Assess the strengths and weaknesses of individual matters and provide clear recommendations regarding litigation and settlement strategy.
- Maintain organized and accurate files while meeting applicable deadlines and professional obligations.
- Stay current with developments in personal injury law, relevant legislation, case law, and litigation practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, leverage technology, and increase efficiency in the management of client matters.

Qualifications & Experience
- LL.B. or J.D. from an Ontario law school is required.
- Must be a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario (LSO).
- Demonstrated knowledge, experience, and genuine interest in personal injury law.




- Solid understanding of litigation principles and the ability to independently manage legal matters.
- Experience attending discoveries, mediations, motions, pre-trials, or trials is an asset.
- Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop persuasive legal arguments and clearly communicate complex issues.
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Ability to independently assess legal issues, conduct research, and develop practical solutions.
- A client-first mindset and a genuine commitment to achieving positive outcomes for clients.
- Comfortable taking ownership of files and working proactively with limited supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize competing deadlines.
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Technologically proficient, with an interest in using technology to improve efficiency and client service.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
- Demonstrated confidence and effectiveness in courtroom settings, with the ability to advocate persuasively, respond thoughtfully under pressure, and represent clients professionally during hearings, motions, examinations, and trial proceedings.

Pay: $100,000.00-$160,000.00 per year
