Responsibilities

- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support to enhance comfort and independence
- Support seniors and individuals with disabilities through personalized caregiving tailored to their unique needs
- Administer medications accurately according to prescribed schedules and protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, ensuring dietary requirements are met
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning client spaces to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation
- Follow care plans meticulously, documenting all care provided and any changes in the client’s condition for accurate records




- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive support that aligns with medical advice and client preferences

Qualifications

- Valid PSW certificate or equivalent recognized qualification
- Must be able to provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Check
- Valid CPR/AED certification
- Reliable transportation required
- Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities, including dementia care
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach to client needs
- Ability to perform cleaning tasks efficiently while maintaining hygiene standards
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare professional
