We are looking for a reliable, motivated, and patient-focused Pharmacy Technician / Pharmacy Assistant to join our team.
The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced pharmacy environment. We are looking for someone who takes pride in providing excellent service to patients while working closely with pharmacists and the pharmacy team.
Main Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and provide professional, courteous customer service.
- Receive and process prescription orders accurately.
- Enter prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
- Prepare and process prescription orders under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Count, package, label, and prepare medications according to pharmacy procedures.
- Process third-party insurance claims and resolve billing issues when required.
- Manage prescription refills and communicate with patients regarding their prescriptions.
- Contact physicians’ offices and other healthcare professionals when required.
- Assist pharmacists with daily workflow and administrative tasks.
- Maintain accurate patient records and respect patient confidentiality.
- Receive, organize, and manage pharmacy inventory.
- Check medication stock and assist with ordering and inventory management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work setting.
- Handle cash transactions and pharmacy-related administrative duties when required.
- Assist with OTC product recommendations and direct clinical questions to the pharmacist.
- Follow all pharmacy policies, procedures, and applicable Quebec regulations.
- Contribute to a positive and team-oriented team environment.
