Position Summary The Mechanical Foreman is a senior field leadership role responsible for executing mechanical construction projects safely, efficiently, and within budget. Reporting directly to the President and working closely with Project Managers, the Mechanical Foreman is expected to fully understand the complete mechanical scope of work and lead successful field execution from start to finish.
This role requires a highly experienced, certified Journeyperson with a solid track record of repeatable success in the field, leadership capability, and a commitment to quality workmanship and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Fully understand and execute the mechanical scope of work for assigned projects
- Lead and coordinate field crews to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget
- Work closely with Project Managers to support all aspects of project delivery
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and day-to-day field activities
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, codes, and company standards
- Support scheduling, manpower planning, procurement coordination, and project sequencing
- Participate in inspections, deficiency resolution, commissioning, and project closeout activities
- Maintain strong communication with office staff, project managers, clients, consultants, and trades
- Identify issues proactively and contribute practical solutions to maintain project success
- Promote a professional, accountable, and team-oriented work environment
Qualifications & Experience
- Certified Journeyperson in a mechanical trade
- Extensive field experience in commercial and/or industrial mechanical construction
- Proven ability to lead crews and successfully execute projects in the field
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, construction sequencing, and project coordination
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and project documentation
- Demonstrated ability to manage productivity, quality, safety, and budgets
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Reliable, accountable, and highly repeatable in performance and execution
Expectations The Mechanical Foreman is expected to take ownership of field execution and contribute directly to successful project outcomes. This role requires leadership, accountability, technical competence, and a solutions-oriented mindset. The successful candidate will consistently deliver high-quality work, maintain strong coordination with project management, and uphold the company’s standards across all aspects of project execution. Pay: $40.00-$65.00 per hour
