We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Developer- Front End to lead the design, development, and implementation of responsive, accessible, and user-friendly web applications. In this role, you will translate complex technical system specifications into clean, maintainable front-end code and robust backend services. Working in an Agile delivery environment, you will build modern user interfaces, optimize API integrations, write database scripts, and ensure all digital products comply with digital accessibility standards.

Location: Toronto, ON (Fully Onsite - 5 days/week required)

Duration: 12-month contract.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and implement responsive front-end user interfaces and interactive web components using up-to-date JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
- Translate business requirements and technical system specifications into detailed programming specs, clean code, and unit tests.
- Architect and build RESTful Web Services and backend API integrations using Java, Spring Boot, and relational database platforms.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility, responsive web design performance, and strict compliance with accessibility standards (AODA / WCAG 2.0 AA).
- Write, optimize, and maintain database objects,



including complex SQL queries, views, sequences, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Utilize automated CI/CD pipelines, version control platforms, and cloud DevOps tools for continuous integration and deployment.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical defects across development, testing, and production environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams, business stakeholders, and project resources to deliver reliable enterprise software.

Qualifications

- Java Development Seniority: 10+ years of demonstrated hands-on development experience using Java, Spring Boot (MVC, Security, JPA, Boot), and Hibernate (Strictly Required).
- Modern Front-End Ecosystem: 5+ years of specialized experience with Angular, TypeScript, HTML5/CSS, Node/NPM, and RxJS (Strictly Required).
- Database & SQL Development: Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases, with 10+ years of experience working with Oracle Database (11G or higher) including stored procedures and database objects (Strictly Required).
- APIs & DevOps Tooling: Proven experience developing RESTful Web Services/APIs and utilizing Azure DevOps for lifecycle management (Strictly Required).
- Accessibility Standards:



Direct hands-on experience designing and developing web applications to meet AODA / WCAG 2.0 AA compliance standards (Strictly Required).
- Responsive Frameworks: Practical experience using responsive frameworks such as Bootstrap and jQuery alongside version control tools like Bitbucket.
