The Coordinator provides services to all Divisions, units, groups etc. within the Department and, as such works closely with all members of the Department (at varying times and for a variety of reasons) to ensure training programs appropriately reflect the knowledge that should be imparted to educators and are implemented in the manner in which they were designed. An example being the work with Curriculum Development to support the introduction of current curriculum into schools or with Student Achievement in relation to the introduction of new assessment and reporting procedures.

The Program Implementation and Training Coordinator supports the Department in the applications of its Project Management Process Administrative Directive and participates in/sits on Committees (as when required) that pertain to the activities of the Division on the Department as a whole. Additionally, the incumbent ensures that the services and supports they provide reflect/are aligned with Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit (IQ) Principles.

Department of Education The Department of Education (EDU) in the Government of Nunavut oversees early learning and K-12 schooling and supports adult education across the territory. It provides leadership, funding, curriculum development, and policy guidance to support student success in all communities.
