Programmer/Software Developer

Cardinal Couriers is looking for a motivated Programmer to help modernize and enhance our core shipping and logistics applications. This is an exciting opportunity to work on business-critical systems that support operations across Ontario and Quebec while contributing to the future of our technology platform.

Working alongside experienced team members and mentors, you will develop new solutions, improve existing applications, and help integrate modern technologies into our environment. While this role is primarily focused on software development and database projects, you will also have opportunities to support internal IT systems and infrastructure when needed.

What You'll Do Develop, maintain, and enhance web-based business applications.

Design and build integrations using APIs.

Create, optimize, and maintain SQL databases and queries.

Participate in the modernization of legacy systems and applications.

Collaborate with internal users to understand business requirements and develop practical solutions.

Troubleshoot, test, and resolve software issues.

Create and maintain technical documentation.

Provide backup support for internal IT systems, hardware, and end-user support.

Assist with Microsoft 365 administration and related technologies.

Support Android-based devices, including tablets and barcode scanners used in operational environments.

Required Technical Skills

Experience developing applications using: ASP.NET (ASPX)

VB.NET and/or C#

SQL databases

APIs and system integrations PHP development experience.

Crystal Reports experience.





Experience building and supporting web applications.

Experience using source control systems such as Git.

Robust understanding of database design and SQL development.

Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 environments.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Nice-to-Have Skills Experience supporting Android devices and barcode scanners.

IT infrastructure and networking knowledge.

Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and Windows-based environments.

Experience working in transportation, logistics, or related industries. What We're Looking For
