Project Coordinator — Industrial Construction

About the Role
Are you looking to apply your project coordination and construction management skills in a dynamic industrial contracting environment?
Our client, a leading industrial contractor in British Columbia, is seeking a Project Coordinator to join its growing team.
This role supports the successful execution of construction projects from planning through closeout. Reporting to the Project Manager and working closely with the Site Superintendent, the Project Coordinator plays a key role in bridging project management and field operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Project Manager and Site Superintendent throughout the full project lifecycle, from mobilization to closeout.
- Participate in construction strategy meetings, including Path of Construction and estimating reviews.
- Assist in reviewing and interpreting the baseline construction schedule and contribute to detailed planning and execution strategies.
- Set up and maintain project documentation in Procore, including drawings, RFIs, submittals, and correspondence.
- Track procurement and delivery of contractor-supplied materials.
- Coordinate and monitor mobilization deliverables, such as safety and quality documentation.
- Manage and distribute revised drawings, site instructions, and other project communications.
- Support change management by reviewing changes and assessing impacts on cost and schedule.
- Maintain the daily log, capturing labour, executed scope, issues, and delays.
- Assist with material ordering and procurement coordination.
- Support quality control processes, including documentation, inspections,
and submittals.
- Manage daily LEMs and compile supporting documentation for client submission.
- Input site worker hours into HH2 with the correct cost coding for payroll processing.
- Track field progress and update quantity-tracking tools and schedules.
- Draft change orders and coordinate with the Project Manager for review and client submission.
- Develop and submit RFIs and submittals in coordination with the Site Superintendent.
- Capture and document lessons learned for continuous improvement.
- Ensure proper archiving of project documentation in Procore and internal drives.

Requirements
MANDATORY
- Industrial Experience: 3+ years of industrial construction experience. Relevant sectors include oil and gas, petrochemical, ports and terminals, mining, power, pulp and paper, mechanical, structural,
or piping construction.
- Canadian Industrial Experience: Experience working on industrial construction projects in Canada.
- Project Coordination: 2+ years of experience as a Project Coordinator.
- Education: Relevant engineering degree or diploma.
- Cost Control : Experience with project cost tracking, financial reporting, quantity tracking, cost coding, or similar project controls.
PREFERRED
- Professional Registration: EIT, P.Eng.
- Scheduling: Experience developing three-week look-ahead schedules, updating project schedules, or tracking construction progress.
- Field Exposure: Experience working directly with Site Superintendents and field construction teams.
- Quality: Experience supporting construction quality processes, including ITPs, inspections, quality documentation, turnover, or closeout.
- Procurement : Experience coordinating materials, procurement, subcontractors, quotations, or vendor packages.
- Documentation : Experience maintaining construction documentation such as RFIs, submittals, drawings, daily reports, progress reports, or client reporting.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary:
$65,000–$80,000 per annum The actual salary offered to the successful candidate will be determined based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, years of experience, qualifications, internal equity, and the client's compensation policy.
