Project Manager

Hours: 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday

WS Steel is a Tier 1 OEM fabricator specializing in high-volume components and large-scale fabrication across multiple industries. We operate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where quality, efficiency, communication, and execution are critical to our success.
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team and lead multiple fabrication and manufacturing projects from initiation through successful completion.
The Role The Project Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of multiple concurrent projects, ensuring each project meets its defined scope, schedule, budget, quality requirements, and customer expectations.
This position serves as a key connection between customers, Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Quality, and Operations, ensuring project requirements are clearly communicated and effectively executed throughout the project lifecycle.
The successful candidate will be comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and taking ownership of projects from initial handoff through completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple fabrication and manufacturing projects simultaneously across varying scopes, priorities, and timelines.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedules, milestones, resources, risks, and contingencies.
- Define and monitor project objectives, deliverables, timelines, and budget requirements.
- Work closely with Sales to ensure a explicit understanding of the scope of work, customer specifications, expectations, and commitments.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Quality, and Operations to ensure project requirements are effectively communicated and executed.
- Coordinate project resources and priorities to support successful project execution.
- Monitor project progress, costs, schedules, and deliverables to ensure projects remain on track and within budget.
- Identify potential project delays, cost impacts, resource constraints, and other risks before they affect project delivery.
- Develop and implement appropriate mitigation and corrective action plans when project challenges arise.
- Manage and document project changes, ensuring changes to scope, schedule, cost, or customer requirements are properly communicated.
- Maintain proactive communication with customers regarding project progress, milestones, risks, changes, and issues.
- Act as a primary point of contact for project-related customer communication.
- Prepare and present project status reports, key metrics, risks, and action items to management and relevant stakeholders.
- Facilitate project meetings and follow up on assigned actions and commitments.
- Support resolution of technical, production, scheduling, quality, and customer-related issues.
- Maintain accurate and organized project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Promote accountability, collaboration, and effective communication among project stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to project execution and internal processes.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, processes, workflows, and production environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects against scope, schedule, budget, and customer requirements.
- Strong organizational, planning, time-management, and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, management, production teams, and other internal departments.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of accountability, professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills and ability to work effectively with project documentation and business systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in industrial fabrication, steel fabrication, OEM manufacturing, or a related environment.
- Formal education in Project Management, Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
- Project Management certification such as PMP or equivalent.
- Experience working with technical drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
- Experience with ERP/MRP or project management systems.

Hours & Compensation This is a full-time, permanent position, with regular working hours of:
Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
The successful candidate must be willing to work additional or extended hours when required to support project deadlines and business needs.
Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.
