We are currently seeking a Project Program Management Advisor to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia (CA-NS), Canada (CA).

Day to Day job Duties: (what this person will do on a daily/weekly basis)

- Execute and coordinate release management activities for simple to moderately complex IT initiatives across application and infrastructure environments.
- Organize and manage assigned release activities across applications, teams, and projects while maintaining accountability for dependency management within assigned release components.
- Collaborate with project teams, deployment sponsors, vendors, and customers to ensure releases are executed according to approved plans and timelines.
- Maintain release documentation, archives, and schedules while monitoring upcoming IT maintenance and release activities.
- Partner with team members to understand release plans and ensure adherence to established release and change management processes, policies, and procedures.
- Track release progress and provide status reporting to internal stakeholders and external sponsors as required.
- Conduct and participate in post-release reviews to evaluate release effectiveness and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate resources needed to support release execution and recommend additional resource requirements when appropriate.
- Build, analyze, and distribute release-related materials and reports to support successful deployment activities.
- Support security, compliance, and risk management requirements by following established organizational policies and procedures.
- Maintain service level agreements and quality standards to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Assist with release automation initiatives and continuous process improvement efforts.

Basic Qualifications: (what are the skills required to this job with minimum years of experience on each)

- Minimum 8+ years of experience in IT Release Management, Change Management, or IT Operations.




- Minimum 8+ years of experience coordinating application and infrastructure deployments in enterprise environments.
- Experience managing release schedules, dependencies, documentation, and stakeholder communications.
- Experience working within formal ITIL-based Change and Release Management processes.
- Experience coordinating activities across multiple technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Knowledge of release management tools, deployment processes, and production support practices.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present status updates to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working with vendors, customers, and cross-functional teams to support technology initiatives.
- Basic understanding of IT security, compliance, and risk management requirements.

Travel: This position does not have any travel requirement.

Degree: Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

Nice to Have; (But not a must)

- Project lead experience

- ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent service management certification.

- Experience with release automation and CI/CD tools.

- Experience supporting Agile and DevOps environments.

- Experience facilitating post-implementation reviews and driving process improvement initiatives.

- Knowledge of enterprise change management frameworks and governance processes.

- Experience with project coordination or project management activities.
