Job OverviewThe Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Networking Pre‑Sales Systems Engineer is a remote/teleworker role focused on supporting Tier 2 Service Providers. The position is a senior technical role that manages the sales close, presents and articulates HPE solutions, and partners with Account Managers to qualify opportunities and convert leads into successful engagements.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the technical close of sales opportunities for Tier 2 Service Providers.Present and articulate capabilities of HPE solutions relative to customer business requirements and compare them with competitors.Qualify opportunities and convert leads into successful engagements in partnership with Account Managers.Develop and propose tailored solutions, including virtualization, automation, security, and network optimization.Conduct demos, presentations, and collaborate with internal/external experts to anticipate customer needs.Maintain relationships with customer technical decision makers and support the development of customer technical roadmaps.Lead discussions around network automation, virtualization, agentic AI, and MCP, providing guidance and solutions demos.QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or related field, or significant experience in networking technical and pre‑sales roles.6+ years of technical professional pre‑sales/post‑sales experience.Expert knowledge in routing technologies (MPLS, Segment Routing, BGP, etc.) and experience in Security, Automation, Cloud/DC, and Network Virtualization.Experience working with Service Provider networks as a Sales/Systems Engineer or Network Architect.Hold networking certifications such as HPE, Juniper, Cisco (e.G., JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE, CISSP, CCIE).Knowledge and/or strong curiosity about network automation, virtualization, agentic AI, and MCP.Proficiency in automation tools (Python, Ansible, Netconf‑YANG, JSON,
