Phoenix Glass is looking for a Quality & Continuous Improvement Specialist to join our team in Delta.
This is a hands-on manufacturing role with responsibility for taking ownership of our day-to-day QC program, helping modernize and digitize our quality systems, overseeing our preventive maintenance program, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives throughout the company.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning and improving Phoenix Glass’s day-to-day QC program
- Reviewing and revamping our QC Manual
- Developing QC procedures, inspection forms, checklists, and work instructions
- Creating project-specific Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
- Performing in-process and final shop inspections
- Completing site QC inspections where required by project-specific ITPs
- Leading the digitization of QC records, inspections, deficiencies, corrective actions, and reporting
- Investigating recurring quality issues and leading root-cause / corrective-action efforts
- Overseeing the preventive maintenance program, including schedules, documentation, tracking, and reporting
- Working with maintenance personnel to identify equipment-related quality and reliability issues
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across Production, Engineering, Drafting, Purchasing, Project Management, Field Operations, and other departments
- Identifying opportunities to reduce rework, waste, bottlenecks, repetitive manual work, and inefficient processes
What we’re looking for:
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing quality, quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, continuous improvement, or a related field
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tolerances
- Experience with quality systems, inspections, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and process improvement
- Experience developing QC documentation, ITPs, SOPs, or work instructions
- Strong computer skills and an interest in digitization, automation, and data-driven improvement
- Comfortable working directly on the production floor and collaborating across departments
- Legally permitted to work in Canada
- Valid driver’s licence and ability to attend project sites as required
Experience in curtain wall, windows, doors, glazing, aluminum fabrication, metal fabrication, architectural products, or another precision manufacturing setting is a strong asset. Experience with Lean, FMEA, CAPA, ISO-based quality systems, ERP systems, quality software, preventive maintenance systems, or process automation would also be valuable.
