We are currently seeking a Quality Engineer responsible for Kromet (Cambridge, ON) facilities (2 facilities, 5 minutes away by car). The Quality Engineer is in charge of the Product Quality and maintenance of the Quality System based on the responsibilities listed below, other required tasks may be added as required.

Responsibilities:

- Participate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, addressing root cause and corrective actions.
- Take action and be in direct contact with customers on quality issues.
- Take ownership of quality issues from containment to corrective action verification.
- Take part in corrective actions: updating procedures, inspection sheets, et cetera.
- Assist in process and equipment capability studies
- Update SOPs and instructions as needed.
- Participate in a Material Review Board (MRB) to disposition parts.
- Issue, control and maintain audit plans and results for roving audits, dock audits, in -process audits & final audits.
- Disposition quality rejects when required (first offs, in process inspections, dock audits, buy and sell, customer rejects, supplier raw material, etc.).
- Drive improvements for findings from Roving audits, dock audits,



in process inspection sheets, customer complaints, scrap, yield, quality alerts and high RPNs.
- Issue RMAs, evaluation & disposition of customer complaints.
- Control of non-conforming product system (internal and external) – quality alerts, -CARs, 8D’s and other documentation required from the customers.
- Generate and help implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate internal preventive and corrective action activities for defect & scrap reduction.
- Visit customers when required.

Quality Control: Adhere to standards that are based on the ISO 9001 Quality System and Kromet Quality System.

Health & Safety:

Participate in the Company’s Health & Safety, Housekeeping and Environmental Programs.

Requirements:

- Experience with Core tools (Control Plan, FMEA, Flow Charts, APQP, PPAP)
- Experience with Corrective and Preventive Action methodology
- Experience with Engineering techniques (Fundamentals of GD&T;, blue prints, specifications, standards)
- Experience with ISO9001 Systems
- Good communication skills and Leadership.

Job Types: Permanent, Full time Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
