Join Our Team as a QA Technician!

Performs inspection of precision machined parts and assemblies to customer drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001 quality standards. Generates FAI, NCR, and CAR documentation, supports Receiving Inspection and customer shipping certification requirements, and helps maintain Camatech’s quality systems while keeping production on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform first-off, in-process, and final inspections of precision machined parts and assemblies to customer drawings and specifications, using tools such as calipers, height gauges, plug gauges, micrometers, and CMMs.
- Generate First Article Inspection (FAI) reports, Corrective Action Reports (CAR), Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), and daily quality production reports in accordance with AS9100/ISO 9001 standards.
- Verify Job Travelers are complete and accurate, and establish Part Document file requirements for new parts, including bubble drawings, inspection reports, and in-process inspection charts.
- Perform Receiving Inspection of raw materials and special-process parts, and maintain an accurate finished parts inventory control system.
- Create shipping documents required by customers, including Certificates of Conformance, material/process certifications, and inspection reports.
- Document and communicate non-conforming or inferior quality materials with internal and external parties, and initiate corrective action as required.
- Use Unipoint software and ERP systems to maintain quality records and standards, and identify opportunities to improve quality control processes without hindering production.




- Conduct in-house inspection equipment calibrations and spontaneous product/production audits, and perform all other duties as assigned.
- Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;) principles to interpret engineering drawings and evaluate part conformance during inspection.

About You…

- Education: Post-secondary education in a related field; Certificate in Quality Assurance/Quality Technician preferred.
- Experience: Two (2)+ years of inspection experience within the aerospace or precision machining industry.
- Certifications: No mandatory certifications required; ISO 9001 or AS9100 experience is considered an asset.
- Industry / Specialized Knowledge: Thorough understanding of aerospace and commercial drawings, specifications, and geometric tolerances; familiarity with ANSI, ISO, and other international standards.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and time-management abilities, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office, and CMM experience is considered an asset.
- Verifications: Successful completion of a criminal background check is required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to safely lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
