We are seeking a Senior Network Architect with solid hands‐on and deep architectural expertise in Ciena routing and switching platforms, specifically the 31xx, 51xx and 81xx product families. The role also requires experience with Ciena Navigator, to design, automate, and operationalize large‐scale, carrier‐grade IP and Ethernet networks. This position blends architecture leadership, system integration, and practical configuration experience, ensuring designs are both innovative and operationally sound.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect, design, and hands‐on implement IP/MPLS and Ethernet network solutions using Ciena 31xx, 51xx and 81xx platformsDefine and maintain reference architectures, design standards, and configuration best practicesDevelop and review HLD/LLD, topology diagrams, resiliency models, and capacity plansDesign and integrate OSS‐driven network workflows using:Navigator NCS for network control, visibility, and lifecycle managementIP/MPLS, Segment Routing, and EVPN‐based servicesLayer 2 and Layer 3 Ethernet services at scaleTraffic engineering, QoS, and high‐availability designsPerform hands‐on configuration, testing, and validation, including lab and pre‐production environmentsGuide operations and deployment teams to ensure seamless transition from design to productionDrive network modernization and automation initiatives,



including platform migrations and OSS integrationEvaluate new Ciena features, APIs, and software releases; provide recommendationsand adoption strategiesAct as the technical escalation point for complex network and OSS‐related issuesMentor engineers and review technical designs and configurationsRequired Skills & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience8+ years of experience in network engineering and architecture rolesDemonstrated hands‐on expertise with Ciena 31xx, 51xx and 81xx routing and switching platformsStrong experience with Ciena Navigator NCSDeep knowledge of: IP/MPLS, Segment Routing, EVPN, BGP, OSPF, IS‐IS, LDP, RSVP‐TE, Ethernet technologies (VLAN, QinQ, LAG, EVPN‐VPWS/VXLAN)Experience designing high‐scale, high‐availability, and multi‐domain networksAbility to translate operational and business requirements into automated, scalable architecturesExcellent documentation, troubleshooting, and cross‐team communication skillsPreferred QualificationsHave been employed at Ciena in last 5 yearsExperience in service provider or carrier‐grade environmentsKnowledge of model‐driven networking, telemetry, and APIs (NETCONF/YANG, REST)Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible)Familiarity with closed‐loop automation and service assurance #J-18808-Ljbffr
