The Corporation of the City of North Bay is seeking enthusiastic Recreational Program Leaders to support our After School Programs for children ages 6 to 12. Programs operate Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. throughout the school year, with additional paid opportunities available through community programs, camps, and special events.
Under the direction of the Community Development Coordinator, the Recreational Program Leaders will be responsible for the following:
- Day-to-day operation of the Centre – report writing, program scheduling and paperwork
- Supervision of program participants ages 6-12
- General program coordination of physical activities, healthy food choices and nutrition,
health and wellness activities, homework assistance, and arts & crafts
- Cleaning/sanitizing surfaces/equipment
Qualifications:
- Must hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector Check) dated within the last 3 months
- Minimum Grade 12 Education
- Display leadership and supervisory skills
Assets: Preference given to bilingual candidates and those currently enrolled or possess a Degree in Recreation/Physical Education, Concurrent Education.
