Overview

Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including exams, cleanings, restorations, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials, ensuring sterilization standards are met
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), and CBCT / pan.
- Manage patient records using dental practice management software such as Gold to ensure accurate documentation
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits
- Support front desk operations by greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and handling administrative tasks as a dental receptionist when needed
- Assist with pediatric dental care and orthodontic procedures to accommodate diverse patient needs
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety regulations at all times
- Be an ambassador of the clinic and help educate patients of the holistic approach to dental care
Skills
- Proven experience in dental assisting with knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Gold for record keeping and scheduling
- Strong understanding of orthodontics and pediatric dentistry to support specialized treatments considered an asset
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control standards, and safety procedures in a dental setting
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
