Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Educator to support the development and well-being of young children in a nurturing educational environment. This role involves leading a classroom in implementing curriculum, supervising children, and fostering a safe and engaging space for learning and growth. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, especially those with diverse needs, and possess a caring, patient demeanor.

This position involves supporting the Montessori learning philosophy.

Duties

- Support classroom activities by helping plan and execute age-appropriate lessons and play-based learning experiences
- Supervising children during indoor and outdoor activities to ensure safety at all times
- Provide individualized care and attention to children, including those with disabilities or special needs
- Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that promotes learning and safety
- Collaborate with lead teachers and staff to monitor children's progress and address their developmental needs




- Support positive behavior management strategies and encourage social-emotional development
- Assist with feeding, diapering, or toileting routines as needed in accordance with health guidelines
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's daily activities and well-being

Experience

- Prior classroom experience working with young children is preferred
- Demonstrated caregiving skills, patience, and a nurturing attitude toward children
- Familiarity with developmental milestones and age-specific activities for early learners

Qualifications

- Registered ECE or equivalent
- Standard First Aid & CPR C
- Up to date immunizations
- Recent Vulnerable Sector Check (within 6 mos)

Job Types: Full-time, Part time Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
