About the role

Physiatrix Rehabilitation is expanding its Seniors Living program — bringing hands-on mobility, strength, and rehabilitation care directly into independent- and assisted-living communities across Langley and Surrey. We're looking for a Registered Kinesiologist who loves working with older adults and wants to help residents stay strong, steady, mobile, and independent in their own homes.

You'll be on-site in senior living communities, running assessments and leading residents through structured, evidence-based programs — building strength and balance, improving mobility and confidence, supporting recovery after illness, surgery, or a hospital stay, and helping residents manage chronic conditions and prevent falls. You'll own your caseload, build real relationships with residents and community staff, and see the difference your work makes week over week.

What you'll do

- Complete functional, mobility, strength, and falls-risk assessments for recent residents joining the program.
- Design and deliver individualized exercise and reconditioning programs (typically a 6-session block) tailored to each resident's goals — strength, balance, mobility, endurance, and recovery.
- Run reassessments to track progress and graduate residents or extend care as needed.
- Keep clear, professional records and communicate progress to residents, families, and community coordinators.

- Represent Physiatrix warmly and professionally inside each community.

What we're looking for
- Registered Kinesiologist in good standing with the BC Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK).
- Comfort and genuine enthusiasm working with older adults; experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation exercise, mobility, or falls prevention is a strong asset.
- A valid BC driver's license and reliable vehicle — you'll travel between communities (mileage discussed at hire).
- Excellent interpersonal skills; you're the kind of person residents look forward to seeing.
- Self-directed, organized, and dependable — you'll manage your own schedule across sites.

Nice to have
- Prior experience delivering programs in independent living, assisted living, or community settings.
- First Aid / CPR certification.
- Familiarity with standardized functional, balance, and falls-risk assessment tools.

The details
- Pay: $35-40/hour (competitive market rate).
- Hours: Part-time and flexible, growing with the program — a great fit if you want meaningful work on a schedule that suits you.
- Where: Senior living communities across Langley and Surrey.
- Growth: We're actively expanding across the Lower Mainland; there's real room to grow with us as we add communities.

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour

Benefits

- Flexible schedule

Work Location: In person
