- BLS certification
- Active registration with BCCNM in good standing
- ACLS preferred, but not required

Job Overview We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our busy Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery office. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing specialized perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures of the face, mouth, and jaw. The RN supports patient safety, sedation monitoring, surgical assistance, and post-operative recovery in a fast-paced outpatient surgical environment.

Duties

- Pre-Operative Assessment & Preparation

Conduct patient assessments, review medical history, obtain vital signs, and ensure informed consent and readiness for surgery.
- Sedation & Intraoperative Monitoring

Assist with IV sedation and continuously monitor patient status (vital signs, airway, level of consciousness) during procedures.
- Surgical Assistance & Sterile Technique

Prepare instruments and surgical setup, assist the surgeon during procedures,



and maintain strict infection control standards.
- Post-Operative Recovery & Patient Care

Monitor patients post-anesthesia, manage pain or complications, and ensure safe recovery prior to discharge.
- Documentation, Education & Emergency Response

Maintain accurate records, provide patient education, and respond effectively to medical emergencies while ensuring compliance with clinical standards.
