Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and skilled Registered Physiotherapist to join our growing multidisciplinary healthcare team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will provide high-quality physiotherapy assessments, treatments, and rehabilitation services to patients with a variety of musculoskeletal and physical health conditions.
The ideal candidate is patient-focused, clinically confident, and committed to helping patients achieve meaningful improvements in pain, mobility, function, and overall quality of life. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive clinic environment alongside other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, functional assessments, and clinical evaluations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s clinical presentation, goals, and functional needs.
- Provide evidence-informed physiotherapy treatments, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, stretching, mobility and strengthening programs, and appropriate therapeutic modalities.
- Utilize modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, laser therapy, and other appropriate therapeutic interventions when clinically indicated.
- Monitor patient progress and regularly reassess treatment plans to ensure optimal clinical outcomes.
- Provide clear patient education regarding exercises, posture, ergonomics, activity modification, injury prevention, and self-management strategies.
- Support patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals and safely returning to work, daily activities, exercise, and other functional activities.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries, in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, insurers, and other healthcare professionals when appropriate.
- Collaborate with the clinic’s multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and patient-centered care.
- Maintain a professional, welcoming, and patient-focused approach in all interactions.
- Follow all applicable professional, privacy, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Current registration and valuable standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (CPO).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
- Strong clinical knowledge of musculoskeletal assessment, rehabilitation, and treatment techniques.
- Experience providing hands-on physiotherapy treatment and therapeutic exercise programs.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient-education skills.
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly with clinical documentation.
- Commitment to evidence-informed, ethical, and patient-centered care.
