Registered / Provisional Psychologist | Calgary | September/October 2026 Start

One Life Counselling & Coaching is looking for a Registered or Provisional Psychologist to join our NW Calgary practice.

We've worked hard to create a place where therapists can do meaningful clinical work, build a thriving caseload, feel genuinely connected to their colleagues, and have the support they need without managing all the business pieces of private practice themselves.

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with at least one of the following client populations: adults, couples or children. You don't need to work with all of them. We're interested in finding a great therapist who can bring their own clinical interests and strengths to our team.

We're especially interested in someone who would like to bring or develop a specialty in at least ONE of the following areas:

- Addictions
- ADHD / Autism
- Children
- Menopause and women's midlife mental health

You don't need to specialize in all of these areas. If one is work you already love, or an area you'd genuinely like to grow into, we'd love to hear from you.

Private practice can sometimes feel isolating, so we've intentionally built something different. Our team comes together for monthly peer consultations and clinical discussions,



lunches, social gatherings, team-building activities and our annual year-end celebration. We also schedule 15-minute breaks between every client so you have time to complete a note, refill your coffee, connect with a colleague or simply reset before your next session.

Who we're looking for

We're drawn to therapists who are warm, curious, compassionate and committed to continuing to grow.

You don't need to have everything figured out or arrive with an established private practice. We value clinicians who bring humility, strong clinical thinking and a collaborative approach to helping clients better understand themselves and create meaningful change.

Different therapeutic orientations are welcome, and we especially appreciate clinicians who work from an integrative approach.

For this position, we're looking for someone who can consistently offer approximately:

2 daytime shifts (Mon & Tue) + 2 evening shifts (Wed & Thur)+ 1 weekend shift (Sunday)

Ideally, you're interested in building toward approximately 20–25 client hours per week, although we're happy to talk about what a sustainable caseload looks like for you.

What you'll need

- Registered, provisionally registered, or approaching registration as a Psychologist in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists
- $2-5 million skilled liability insurance
- Clear criminal record check




- Reliable and responsive communication

Private practice experience is an asset, but isn't required for the right person.

Position: Independent Contractor

This is an independent contractor position without employee benefits. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes and CRA obligations.
