-Experience in working with trauma -Experience and training in EMDR therapy is an asset or willingness to take the training.

-Experience and training in First Responders and/or Maternal Mental Health an asset.

-Part-time with potential leading into full-time if interested.

Duties:

- Conduct psychotherapy sessions with patients to address mental health concerns and promote emotional well-being
- Collect and analyze data to assess patient needs and develop treatment plans
- Provide patient care, including individual, group, and family therapy sessions
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure comprehensive treatment
- Manage and maintain accurate case records, including progress notes and treatment plans




- Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in psychotherapy to inform treatment approaches

Skills:

- Strong data collection and analysis skills to assess patient needs and track treatment progress
- Excellent patient care skills, including active listening, empathy, and effective communication
- Proficient in case management techniques to ensure continuity of care and support for patients
- Familiarity with research methodologies to contribute to evidence-based practice in psychotherapy
- Experience working with pediatric populations, including children and adolescents
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health conditions and treatments
- Previous experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred
- Special education experience is a plus
