- Partner with Franchisees and Store Manager on employee relations matters including performance management, compensation, employee engagement and employee relations- Execute business unit visits (changeover and engagement) working collaboratively with business unit to assess engagement and advise on HR Best Practices- Conduct discrimination and harassment investigations, providing recommendations and documentation to the business unit- Partner with the Manager/Owner on CNESST claims and any litigation and act as a trusted advisor on these matters- Where required inform the business unit on labour and employee relations issues to mitigate risk- Conduct HR leadership training for business unit on Giant Tiger Talent Development Programs- Provide Best advice on Modified work, return to work process and health and safety matters- Act as a conduit between the Manager/Owner and the Centres of Excellence to provide appropriate support- Complete administrative activities for the business unit and reinforce the self-service modelRequirements- Bilingualism English and French is required (expert level, conversational French skills)- Post Secondary education in Human Resources or related discipline; or equivalent experience- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a HR partner/advisor role- Skilled in developing positive working relationships with business leaders- 3+ years experience coaching and advising managers- Excellent attention to detail with written work- Proven ability to effectively communicate in a positive way with internal business units- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate provincial employment law, policies and regulations- Relevant experience in conducting ER investigations, including Harassment investigations and supporting MOL & Human Rights claims- The successful candidate must be able and willing to travel as required to support business needs.Core CompetenciesDemonstrates expertise in employee relations, performance management, and HR best practices, with a solid focus on bilingual communication in English and French.
