Position: Consultant Physician – Endocrinology and Internal MedicineEmployer: Healthy Heart InstituteLocation: Red Deer, Alberta (T4N 3Z6)Job Type: Permanent, Fee-for-Service (full-time clinical commitment)Start Date: Adaptable / as soon as possible Healthy Heart Institute is expanding its multi-disciplinary internal medicine team and seeks a Consultant Endocrinologist to deliver comprehensive endocrine and internal medicine services in Red Deer.Key Responsibilities:* Manage a broad spectrum of endocrine disorders, including advanced type 1 & 2 diabetes (insulin pumps, CGM), thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, and pituitary conditions.* Provide holistic care for complex, multi-morbid patients in outpatient and inpatient settings.* Collaborate with nursing, dietetic, podiatry, and primary care teams to streamline care pathways.* Lead guideline development, clinical audits,



and quality improvement initiatives.* Teach and supervise medical students and residents.Qualifications Required:* MBBS (or equivalent) + dual certification in Endocrinology and Internal Medicine (CCT/CCST or equivalent).* MRCP (UK) and extensive consultant-level experience in endocrinology (minimum 10 years).* Proven track record in diabetes technology, hyponatremia management, and audit of clinical pathways.* Eligible for independent licensure with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA).Compensation: Competitive fee-for-service remuneration in accordance with Alberta Health billing schedules.
