Client: Shared Services Canada (SSC) / Department of National Defence (DND)Location: Ottawa/Gatineau, ON (Hybrid may be considered)Contract Duration: 90 DaysSecurity Clearance: Reliability Clearance (or ability to obtain)OverviewOur federal government client is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Consultant to conduct an Options Analysis related to Key Management Services (KMS) and Hardware Management Services (HMS within the SSC and DND workplace.The successful consultant will have deep expertise in cloud security, encryption, cryptographic key management, and security architecture, and will be responsible for assessing available solutions, identifying risks and constraints, and providing strategic recommendations on KMS/HMS capabilities and implementation approaches.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform a comprehensive options analysis for KMS and HMS capabilities within SSC/DND environmentsAssess existing and emerging cloud security and encryption technologiesAnalyze technical, operational, security, and governance considerations associated with KMS/HMS solutionsEvaluate feasibility, risks, dependencies,



and implementation considerations for various approachesEngage with stakeholders to gather requirements and validate assumptionsDevelop recommendations and decision-support documentation for senior managementPrepare reports, presentations, and briefing materials outlining findings and proposed optionsRequirementsMandatory QualificationsSignificant experience in Cloud Security and secure cloud architectureDemonstrated experience with Key Management Services (KMS) and cryptographic key management solutionsExperience working with Hardware Security Modules (HSM/HMS) or related hardware-based encryption technologiesStrong understanding of data encryption, key lifecycle management, and security controlsExperience conducting options analyses, assessments, or strategic studies within complex enterprise environmentsExcellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skillsAsset QualificationsExperience supporting SSC, DND, or other Government of Canada organizationsKnowledge of federal security standards, cloud governance, and protected/classified environmentsExperience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google CloudContract DetailsDuration: 90-day engagementNumber of Resources: 1Start Date: ASAP #J-18808-Ljbffr
