Job Summary

Elevation Technical Rescue Group Inc. is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Confined Space Rescuer / Attendant to join our growing team. We provide professional confined-space standby, attendant, monitoring, and rescue services for industrial and construction projects.

This is a paid, field-based position suited to someone who takes safety seriously, communicates well, and can remain calm and professional in high-risk work environments. Site-specific and company training will be provided where applicable.

Responsibilities

- Perform confined-space attendant and rescue standby duties at industrial and construction sites
- Monitor workers entering and working within confined spaces
- Maintain accurate entry logs, personnel counts, and required safety documentation
- Monitor atmospheric conditions using gas-detection equipment as required
- Inspect and prepare rescue and retrieval equipment before work begins
- Assist with setup and use of tripods, davit systems, winches, harnesses, lifelines, ventilation equipment, and other rescue equipment
- Maintain continuous communication with confined-space entrants
- Recognize changing or hazardous conditions and respond according to the site rescue plan
- Participate in confined-space rescue operations when required and properly trained
- Coordinate with supervisors, site personnel, emergency services, and other rescue team members during an incident
- Conduct pre-use equipment inspections and report damaged or defective equipment
- Follow company procedures, client requirements, rescue plans, and applicable health and safety regulations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area
- Represent Elevation Technical Rescue Group professionally while working at client sites





Qualifications
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Able to remain calm and follow procedures during emergency situations
- Strong verbal communication and situational-awareness skills
- Physically capable of performing rescue-related duties and working around confined spaces
- Comfortable working in industrial and construction environments
- Willing to work varying schedules depending on project requirements
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation preferred
- Previous industrial, construction, confined-space, fire, EMS, rescue, or safety experience is considered an asset

Preferred Training & Certifications The following are considered assets:
- Confined Space Entry / Attendant Training
- Confined Space Rescue Training
- Working at Heights
- Standard First Aid & CPR/AED
- WHMIS
- Gas Detection / Atmospheric Monitoring
- Technical Rope Rescue or related rescue training

Additional company and site-specific training may be provided to qualified candidates.
