The role

Were building something ambitious in a space thats ready for it, and we need someone to own how we tell that story. As Head of Marketing, you own the narrative of what myAbode is: the positioning, the messaging, and the strategic story that makes a skeptical brokerage believe in what were building. Real estate is being rebuilt on new infrastructure, and your job is to make myAbode the credible, go-to voice on that transformation in Canada, not just another vendor.

Its a brand-first leadership role, reporting to the CEO and sitting on the leadership team. Youll define and refine our narrative, sharpen a brand that needs more credibility and authority, and clarify how myAbode relates to the brokerages we serve. From there, youll drive the work that proves it out: product marketing and launches, lead generation and nurture, and go-to-market initiatives. Youll set the direction on SEO and GEO and judge the work, without having to author the mechanics yourself.

Its a founding, zero-to-one shape: intense story-setting up front, then stewardship as it scales. Youll build lean and AI-forward, growing capability through AI agents rather than a big org chart. This is not a pure demand-gen seat. It rewards a confident point of view, genuinely excellent writing, and high agency. If you want to own a brand story from the ground up, youll find it hard to match.

What youll own

• A clear, compelling, market-penetrating narrative about who myAbode is and what it does, with a category we define and name.


• Build and execute growth strategies that drive measurable revenue, adoption, and customer expansion.


• myAbode positioned as a credible authority on real estate transformation, not just a vendor, and a brand-to-brokerage story that is finally clear.


• A successful product launch with strong adoption across agents and brokerages.


• A modernized website: slick, current, and telling the right brand story.


• A robust lead pipeline, built and nurtured, with time-to-close improving.


• myAbode winning in LLM (GEO) search, with brand direction set and the outsourced work judged against it.


• A voice in the right publications and industry conversations, and thought leadership on AI infrastructure in the real estate back office.


• Lead event and community strategy to increase visibility and generate brand awareness

What were looking for:

• 8+ years in brand, marketing, or product marketing, with real ownership of positioning and narrative, not just campaign execution. This is a senior, brand-defining seat, so we care most about the depth and quality of what youve built, not the exact year count.


• A strong brand and positioning background with a clear, confident point of view. You hold and defend a position instead of morphing it to please everyone.


• Demonstrated creative ability, with proof. A campaign, brand, launch, or body of work they personally built or ran that is genuinely impressive and shows real marketing talent, not just a list of roles. Expect a portfolio or concrete examples they can walk us through.


• Genuinely excellent writing skills. Clarity and crispness in external communications are non-negotiable here.


• Data-oriented and customer-curious. You build the story from evidence and from what customers actually feel.
• High agency. You run independently and get things done without waiting to be told how.


• Comfortable building in zero-to-one or fast-growth environments.


• AI-forward. You understand the new model is fewer people plus AI agents,

• B2B and category-creation experience: youve named or defined a category before.


• Product marketing and launch experience you can point to.

Nice to have

• Experience in regulated tech or fintech, where security and innovation have to coexist.


• Agency background (a good training ground, not required).


• GEO-literate enough to set direction and judge the work (you dont need to be a GEO operator).
