Haldimand-Norfolk REACH is a multi-service agency, providing Children’s Mental Health Services, Autism & Behaviour Services, Developmental Services, Youth Services, Adult Counselling Services, and several Early Learning Intervention & Care services including EarlyON Child & Family Centres and the Community Action Program for Children.

H-N REACH serves as the Lead Agency for Haldimand Norfolk Child + Youth Mental Health Services, Coordinated Service Planning and the Student Nutrition Program in the Hamilton/Niagara Region. Through our Contact Unit, the agency serves as the single point of access for a variety of children’s services.

H-N REACH is recognized as a local leader in community education, advocacy, inter-sector collaboration and Community Service Planning.

Union House Residence

RESIDENTIAL SERVICES WORKER Ref. #: 2026-08

Casual, Hourly

-Variety of shifts available, including day, evening, and occasional overnight awake shift

-hours based on program need

Wage Rate: Step 1 $20.71 - Step 2 $23.30 - Step 3 $25.89

Union House provides a safe and nurturing living environment, along with life skills coaching and supportive counselling for at risk youth ages 15-17. Offering cutting-edge, strength-based programming, employees work alongside residents as they develop their skills and grow towards a successful transition to independence.

Responsibilities:

· Provide supportive counselling and life skills coaching to youth in an out-of-home care setting

· Function as a team member in the development, implementation,



and evaluation of individualized program plans

· Supervise and support residents in daily routines.

Qualifications

· Relevant community college diploma or degree in social services

· Experience working with youth in an out-of-home care setting preferred

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to perform duties both independently and as part of a team

· Proficient in Office 365

· Broad Sector Check (includes Criminal Record & Judicial Matters Check & Vulnerable Sector Record Check), Children’s Aid Society Declaration/Release

· Possession of a valid driver’s licence, $2 million vehicle liability insurance, clear Driver Abstract and use of a vehicle.
