Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Resource Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of child development, excellent communication skills, and the ability to support staff in engaging children with special needs and supporting our PIRs consultant. As an Resource Consultant, you will play a critical role in supporting the cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development of children in our care.
Key Responsibilities:
Inclusive Practices
- Support children of all abilities in achieving their developmental goals.
- Collaborate with families, resource consultants, and community professionals.
- Assist educators in implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and individualized support strategies.
- Promote an inclusive environment where every child feels welcomed, valued, and successful.
- Observe and document children’s progress and behavior,
sharing observations with parents and staff to support individualized learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues and families to support the well-being and learning goals of each child.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and licensing requirements, including health and safety standards.
Qualifications:
> Must possess a College Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE) from a recognized
institution and a bachelor's degree in education.
> Minimum 2 years experience working with children with special needs.
> Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, families, and staff.
> A commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to the ethical standards of the profession.
