Contract Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Respite Worker to join our CPLF team!

As a Respite Worker, you will work directly with an adult male with a disability who enjoys sports, cats, and stuffed animals. Calgary Progressive Lifestyles Foundation (CPLF) Support Workers facilitate participation in recreational and social activities, support personal growth and community involvement, and promote the overall well-being of people with disabilities.

Job Details

- Location: Calgary
- Schedule: 6 days per month (typically on weekends)
- Employment Type: Contract

Job Requirements





- Police Clearance with a Vulnerable Sector Check (within the past two years)
- Must be an empathetic and patient individual
- Experience working in the field is an asset
- A reliable vehicle and valid Class 5 driver’s licence
- If hired, $2 million in third-party liability vehicle insurance is required
- Valid First Aid (Level C) certification is required within three months of hiring
- If hired, General Commercial Liability Insurance is required

Medication Administration Training, Crisis Prevention and Intervention Training, Abuse Protocol Training, and Positive Behaviour Support Training will be provided at cost. A home inspection is required as part of the application process.
