The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is looking for a committed Educational Assistant for a 50% term position. In this role, you will provide vital support to students with special needs within the classroom and assist in various programs. Key activities include collaboration with teachers, behavior management, and aiding students with specific challenges in a supportive setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
• Support classroom programs for developmental disabilities




• Facilitate physiotherapy exercises and stretches
• Handle yard duties and assist with toileting
• Modify learning programs as required
Requirements:
• Community college diploma in Developmental Services Work
• Minimum of 1-2 years experience with special needs children
• Valid First Aid/CPR certification preferred
• Completed crisis intervention training
• Knowledge of Ontario Curriculum
