Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Retail Assistant Manager to join our vibrant team! Duties

- Oversee daily store operations, ensuring efficiency and excellent customer service at all times
- Lead, supervise, and motivate team members to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding service
- Manage merchandising efforts to optimize product displays, pricing strategies, and inventory presentation
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
- Coordinate recruiting efforts, participate in interviewing candidates, and support onboarding processes
- Oversee cash handling procedures, POS transactions, and ensure accurate bookkeeping and payroll processing
- Develop training programs for staff development and conduct performance evaluations to foster growth
- Monitor sales performance metrics, prepare reports, and implement strategies to meet or exceed sales goals
- Manage purchasing decisions, inventory levels, and store budgeting to maximize profitability
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and store procedures

Skills





- Proven supervisory experience in retail management or a similar leadership role
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence vendors and team members effectively
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities to serve diverse customer bases are highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—to lead teams and engage customers confidently
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, pricing strategies, and merchandising techniques
- Experience with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding new staff, and conducting training & development sessions
- Sound organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a quick-paced environment
- Knowledge of payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and administrative procedures
- Strong math skills for sales analysis, pricing calculations, and financial reporting
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities seamlessly
- Customer service expertise with phone etiquette proficiency and a friendly demeanor
