Overview The British Market is a small, independently owned grocery store in Burlington. We import and sell British grocery, snacks and merchandise

Duties

- Lead and supervise daily store operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of customer service

- Work independently - you'll often be the sole employee in the shop

- Receive deliveries

- Restock shelves

- Handle cash management duties including cashiering and cash handling

- Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems to process transactions efficiently while maintaining excellent people etiquette and communication skills

- Identify areas to improve customer experience

Experience

- Proven experience within retail environments with a strong background in retail sales management

- Ability to sell alcohol (19+ years old)





- Strong organizational skills coupled with excellent time management capabilities

- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail software applications

- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail

Shifts

- Shift are generally 9am-2pm or 2pm-7pm

- We try to average 15 hours/week per employee, sometimes more to accommodate vacations, sometimes a little less when everyone is available.

Pay: $18.00-$18.50 per hour
