Responsibilities

- Install roofing materials such as shingles, metal panels, or membrane systems according to project specifications and blueprints
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and secure roofing components
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure precise installation
- Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment while maintaining proper safety protocols
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure watertight seals around flashings, vents, and edges
- Assist with surface preparation, including framing, carpentry, or minor structural repairs as needed




- Conduct thorough inspections during and after installation to ensure quality standards are met and identify potential issues early
- Maintain a clean worksite by organizing tools, disposing of debris responsibly, and adhering to safety guidelines at all times

Experience

- Prior construction experience with a focus on roofing or related trades preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and utility knives
- Basic carpentry skills for framing or structural adjustments required for roof installations
- Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings accurately
- Experience with caulking techniques for weatherproofing applications beneficial
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights comfortably
- Handyman experience or general construction background is a plus but not mandatory
