Simard is offering an excellent prospect for a candidate seeking a dynamic and stimulating environment! We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Dispatcher to join our team.

Shift: Morning Shift - 6:30am to 3:00pm

Responsibilities

- Plan, dispatch, and monitor 30+driver routes to ensure timely and efficient deliveries
- Use transportation management systems to track shipments and meet deadlines
- Optimize routes and resources for cost-effective operations
- Serve as the main contact between drivers and customers, providing updates and resolving issues
- Coordinate with customer service to handle inquiries and concerns
- Accurately complete dispatch-related data entry and maintain detailed records
- Prepare and update reports as requested by management
- Assign equipment and arrange service calls for on-road breakdowns
- Work with warehouse staff to ensure trucks are loaded and depart on schedule
- Manage dispatch documents and maintain compliance
- Perform other duties as required to support operations

Requirements





- At least 3+ years' experience as a dispatcher in transportation, logistics, or a similar field.
- Strong knowledge of transportation laws, dispatch protocols, and GTA geography is a must.
- Experience within Van and LTL work
- Experience in Fleet optimization and managing equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask and make quick decisions
- Proficient in dispatch software and GPS systems. Experience with Geotab is a plus
