Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Front-End Software Developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL, RESTful Web Services, and responsive web application development .

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing modern front-end applications while working closely with back-end services, APIs, databases, and cross-functional IT teams. The ideal candidate will also have strong experience with AODA/WCAG 2.0 AA compliance , enterprise-scale applications, and Azure DevOps.

Key Responsibilities

- Front-End Application Development
- Design, develop, and implement front-end code and user interface interactions.
- Create attractive, effective, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces.
- Develop web interfaces for large-scale websites and enterprise applications.
- Translate technical system specifications into working and tested applications.
- Develop detailed programming specifications and write or generate application code.
- Design, code, test, debug, document, and maintain applications.
- Develop reusable and maintainable front-end components.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive behavior.
- Work with responsive frameworks and modern web development practices.
- Java & Application Development
- Develop and maintain enterprise applications using Java.
- Apply Java development frameworks and technologies including:

- Spring MVC

- Spring Security

- Spring JPA

- Spring Boot

- Hibernate/JPA
- Work with enterprise Java development environments and IDE tools.
- Support WebSphere-based application environments.
- Apply object-oriented programming and modern application design patterns.
- Troubleshoot application issues and support implementation, conversion, and migration activities.
- Front-End Technologies
- Develop applications using Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS.
- Work with Node.js/NPM, RxJS, Bootstrap, and jQuery.
- Develop responsive web applications.
- Integrate front-end applications with RESTful web services and APIs.
- Implement effective UI interactions and front-end functionality.
- Work with social media APIs where required.
- API, Database & DevOps Integration
- Develop and integrate RESTful Web Services and APIs.
- Work with relational databases, particularly Oracle.
- Develop and work with SQL objects including:

- Use Maven and Bitbucket within development workflows.
- Work with Azure DevOps for source control, work management, and development activities.
- Collaborate with back-end development teams to ensure effective application integration.
- Testing, Troubleshooting & Support
- Conduct unit testing and application validation.
- Debug and resolve application and technical issues.




- Troubleshoot issues arising during application implementation and operation.
- Provide technical assistance during implementation, conversion, and migration activities.
- Provide post-implementation support and resolve technical issues.
- Participate in design walkthroughs and technical reviews.
- Prepare and maintain user and system documentation.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

- Strong development experience with Java, Spring Boot, and SQL.
- Strong experience with RESTful Web Services and APIs.
- Experience using Azure DevOps.
- Extensive experience with Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS.
- Experience with responsive web application development.
- Strong Oracle database experience.
- Experience with AODA/WCAG compliance.

Java Language Knowledge & Experience – 20%
- 10+ years demonstrated experience using Java.
- 5+ years experience with Java development IDE tools such as:

- Eclipse
- IBM Rational Application Developer (RAD)
- IBM Rational Software Architect (RSA)
- 5+ years experience with WebSphere v8.5 or higher.
- Experience with Hibernate/JPA.
- Strong understanding of enterprise Java application development.

Front-End Development Skills
